Iowa Wildlife Habitat Hits First Jackpot from Diamond Conservation Fund - Jul. 15, 2009
Pheasants Forever and Diamond Jo Casinos announce the first distribution of grants from the Diamond Conservation Fund - totaling $7,750 - that will benefit five local wildlife habitat restoration and youth conservation education projects. Created by PF, funds for the unique Diamond Conservation Fund are provided by a designated group of slot machines located at the Diamond Jo Casino properties in Dubuque and Northwood, Iowa. Whenever a player hits the jackpot on one of the machines in the designated slot bank, Diamond Jo matches the jackpot with an equal donation to the Diamond Conservation Fund.

Missouri PF State Habitat Meeting Slated for August 7 & 8 in Macon - Jul. 14, 2009
Missouri Quail Forever (QF) and Pheasants Forever (PF) will hold its 2009 State Habitat Meeting August 7 & 8 at the Macon Gun Club and the Comfort Inn in Macon. The event is for QF and PF members interested in improving Missouri's upland bird habitat and in strengthening youth conservation efforts.

Illinois Pheasants Forever Seeking Youth Ambassadors - Jul. 14, 2009
Illinois Pheasants Forever (PF) and Quail Forever (QF) are looking for interested youth to participate in the first-ever Illinois PF/QF Youth Leadership Council. Twelve youth (ages 10-17) with an interest in hunting, fishing and the outdoors will be selected to serve as youth ambassadors on a variety of conservation issues.

Habitat Blooms with Environment & Natural Resources Trust Fund Support - Jul. 13, 2009
Pheasants Forever, Inc. announces the completion of seven projects, all additions to existing wildlife areas, that are now open to the public for hunting, fishing, trapping and bird watching. Funds for these projects were provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR), PF Chapters, and several partners. Trust Fund dollars originate through the Minnesota State Lottery.

DNR, Local Pheasants Forever Chapters Offer Youth Pheasant Hunt Opportunity - Jul. 09, 2009
Minnesota youth can apply now to participate in mentored pheasant hunts this fall, coordinated by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Pheasants Forever. Applications are due to the DNR by Friday, August 21.

The premiere upland bird hunting and conservation show on television, Pheasants Forever Television, is back for its fifth season beginning Thursday, July 2nd only on Outdoor Channel. The half-hour show, hosted by popular outdoor personality Ron Schara, is slotted to air on Thursdays at 1AM CDT / 2AM EDT, Fridays at 7:30AM CDT / 8:30AM EDT and on Saturdays at 2AM CDT / 3AM EDT and again at 3:30PM CDT / 4:30PM EDT.
